RCHP-AHC Reformed Church of Highland Park Affordable Housing Corp. is Hiring an IT Assistant Near Highland, NJ

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Assistance:o Provide technical support to staff on hardware and software issues, resolving
problems in a timely and efficient manner.
o Assisting the IT manager with help desk requests, ensuring all issues are logged,
tracked, and resolved.

Hardware and Software Management:o Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software, including computers, work
issued phones, printers, and other peripherals.
o Assist in the setup and deployment of new equipment and technology to staff, as well
as assisting with provisioning existing computers using Microsoft Intune.
o Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as system updates, backups, and hardware
cleaning.

Documentation and Training:o Assisting in the creation and maintenance of technical documentation for staff to
follow, ensuring clarity and accessibility of information.
o Document technical procedures and solutions for future reference and provide
training to staff on basic IT and system usage.
o Maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventories.

Qualifications:Education:o A certificate or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
is preferred, but not needed.
o Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.

Experience:o Previous experience in a similar IT support role is highly desirable.
o Hands-on experience with a variety of hardware and software environments.

 Skills:o Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
o Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure)
o Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
o Knowledge of Microsoft platform, Maas 360 through IBM, networking and server
administration is advantageous.

Work Environment:• The IT Assistant will work primarily in an office environment but may need to travel with the IT Manager to different sites as required.
• The role may involve lifting and transporting moderately heavy objects, such as computers and
peripherals.

Compensation

This position is compensated for $28,000/year.

This is a temporary position through December 31, 2024.
