POSITION DESCRIPTION

RC Furniture, a leading fine upholstered furniture manufacturer is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sewing Supervisor with expertise in sewing, upholstery, fabrication, and assembly work. The Sewing Supervisor will be responsible for leading and overseeing the sewing process, ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. The role will consist of collaborating with the Plant Manager to ensure the continued flow of production.

RC Furniture has been manufacturing fine upholstered furniture in Southern California since 1984. A major supplier to furniture retailers nationwide, RC Furniture has forged into the high-end furniture world and is looking for new talented additions to our manufacturing team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Lead and manage a team of seamstresses

· Work with Management to plan and schedule activities to meet production goals and deadlines

· Ensure that all products are sewn efficiently, meeting quality and safety standards

· Provide guidance and training to seamstresses, ensuring they have the necessary skills and tools to excel in their roles

· Monitor and optimize processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize production costs

· Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues and improve product quality

· Enforce safety protocols, quality control procedures, and compliance with all company policies

· Manage inventory, including tracking and ordering materials as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

· A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a production supervisory role, preferably in the furniture or upholstery industry

· Proficiency in sewing

· Strong leadership and communication skills

· Demonstrated ability to motivate and develop a high-performing production team

· Knowledge of safety and quality standards in a manufacturing environment

· Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills

· Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products

· Strong organizational and time management abilities

· Willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.16 - $27.90 per hour
