We’re now hiring a Construction Superintendent at RB Marks Construction in Winter Springs, FL!

The construction Superintendent oversees and coordinates all site construction activities and supervises all field personnel and subcontractors as required, to successfully complete projects on schedule and within budget. Maintaining the highest quality of the workmanship on the jobsite while administering good construction safety practices for all on-site activities is of the utmost importance for this role.

Pay: $80-$95,000 yearly depending on experience

Typical day in the life as a Construction Superintendent:

  • Coordinates scheduling of subcontractors and vendors to assure the project is completed on time.
  • Identify any potential delays and work closely with subs to mitigate any problems that may arise from the delay.
  • Monitors work and materials to ensure quality control standards are met at various stages of the project. Orders materials and schedule inspections as necessary throughout the construction process.
  • Understands the project plans, specifications, and any associated contract documents.
  • Maintains a daily Progress Report electronically that includes all the work on site, deliveries, safety, equipment, photos of progress, job actions performed, etc.
  • Maintains positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and other employees.
  • Responsible for rental equipment and prompt return of the rental equipment.
  • Prepares, schedules, and supervises completion of a final punch list.
  • Promotes job site safety, encourages safe work practices, and rectifies job site hazards immediately.
  • Ensures everyone on the job site is adhering to the company safety policies.
  • Maintains an organized job site, including the construction office. Tracks inventory of supplies and materials to guard against loss.
  • Required to wear PPE to include safety glasses, gloves, back brace, hard hat, etc.

What are we looking for?

  • 3-4 years’ experience in the building trade industry with commercial or industrial builder
  • Two years’ experience in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control and production of all phases of commercial construction, residential helpful but not necessary
  • Experience in managing multiple projects from start to completion.
  • Self-starting, responsible, highly motivated and goal oriented individual.
  • Excellent attention to detail with emphasis on quality.
  • Very organized individual with a systematic approach to achieve accurate and efficient result.
