This leadership position is critical to the success of our manufacturing operations team. You will lead and motivate a team of professionals setting goals and driving achievement. You will strategically plan, direct, monitor and continuously improve production in the Pressure and Micro Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) fabrication business units.
As a Collins leader, you will be a culture champion for the team focused on individual development and team success. You will approach each day with a continuous improvement mindset to identify opportunities for innovations maximizing use of the organizational resources optimizing production. You will utilize active listening, critical thinking, data, and effective problem-solving skills to resolve complex issues while working under pressure.
Well-developed organizational and time management skills and the ability to effectively prioritize and allocate resources are foundational for success in this role. Your polished communication and interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams will facilitate success and achievement of operational goals.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Own responsibility for the smooth operations by planning, organizing, and controlling of all production-related activities within a Class 1000 cleanroom and a light assembly area.
  • Own compliance to standard operating procedures and quality and safety requirements from local and international quality standards.
  • Proactively evaluate, report, develop and implement improvement programs such as on-time delivery, productivity, manufacturing cost/expenses, inventory, safety performance, 5S housekeeping, customer feedback, and overtime expenses.
  • Lead a team of Senior/Supervisors and Manufacturing Engineers to maximize productivity through effective leadership and team development.
  • Deploy innovative techniques & customer service strategies to achieve the highest standards of service delivery & customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with cross functional departments to improve process, performance, and management efficiency to achieve business goals.
  • Formulate and lead Continuous Improvement projects from Identified opportunities for Safety, People, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SPQDC).
  • Create a culture that boosts employee morale, engagement, and improves retention.
  • Identify, develop and groom a strong internal succession pipeline.
QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:
  • Typically requires University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.
  • 4 years' experience in a leadership role in manufacturing operations.

QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER:
  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) preferred.
  • Aerospace or avionics manufacturing experience.
  • Integrated circuit (IC) and/or MEMS fabrication experience,
  • Cleanroom manufacturing environment background.
  • LEAN certification.
  • SPC experience.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively identify and resolve issues and mitigate risks.
  • Proven ability to facilitate difficult conversations and communicate early, and concisely with individuals at all organizational levels.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
