Description


Note:
This position will follow our hybrid work model, we expect the selected candidate to be in the office 10 days per month at the St. Petersburg, FL Corporate Office location.

Job Summary:

As part of the Ops & Tech Finance Business Management team, this Operations Finance position will work closely with all Operations departments including back office, middle office, Service Delivery and Ops Risk Management to oversee administrative deliverables related to budgets, finance, resources, and procurement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees administrative deliverables for assigned operational team(s). Functions as a liaison between finance, leadership, and operational teams.
  • Manages the annual budget process for Operations and plays a lead role in coordination with partners in IT Finance and Corporate Finance.
  • Produces and presents monthly financial review packages to Operations senior leadership.
  • Assumes leadership role in financial review of purchasing requests (i.e. working with procurement and business leaders, navigating the approval process).
  • Partners with assigned senior leaders in assigned operational groups to create and manage specific business metrics.
  • Prepares quarterly Board Reports relevant to business unit.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of:

  • Analysis, data, and metrics.
  • Accounting software packages.
  • Financial Products.
  • Generally accepted accounting principles. (GAAP)

Skill in:

  • Preparing financial management reports.
  • Reviewing, interpreting, and analyzing financial information.
  • Using required software applications to produce correspondence, reports, electronic communication, spreadsheets, and dashboards.

Ability to:

  • Identify and understand issues, problems and opportunities; compare data from different sources to draw conclusions.
  • Clearly convey information and ideas through a variety of media to individuals or groups in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message.
  • Use effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions; recommend or take action that is consistent with available facts, constraints and probable consequences.
  • Demonstrate a satisfactory level of technical and professional skill or knowledge in position-related areas; remains current with developments and trends in areas of expertise.
  • Develop and use collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals.
  • Make internal and external clients and their needs a primary focus of actions; develop and sustain productive client relationships.
  • Occasionally work a non-standard shift including nights and/or weekends and/or have on-call responsibilities.

Education/Previous Experience:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related degree and seven (7) years of relevant experience or a combination of education, training and experience.
  • Financial Services experience highly preferred.
