Description

• Performs housekeeping duties in the resident studio apartment and common areas
• Cleans (dust, dry mop, wet mop, sanitize, scrub) assigned resident studio apartments and common areas
• Ensure that cleaning schedule is followed
• Responsible for the daily laundry services
• Collect soiled laundry (linens and clothing) from each assigned studio apartment
• Sort unwashed articles by color and fabric and track all items collected
• Load and unload automatic washing and drying machines; wash, fold, and delivers Clean floors and walls (sweeping, mopping, dusting, spot cleaning).
• Clean work carts, equipment, supplies, etc.
• Maintain accurate record of all in-coming and out-going clothing items
• File laundry sheets and request records for future reference
• Routinely handle chemicals commonly used in laundry and performs custodial duties in the laundry area
• Attend and participate in facility mandatory in-service training programs, as scheduled
• Maintain confidentiality of all pertinent resident care information, including protected health information
• Disposes of trash, waste, and other materials in a safe manner
• Informs supervisor that supplies are in need of being ordered
• Perform all other duties, as assigned

Requirements

• Must be able to successfully complete bloodborne-pathogens training within 30 days of hire
• Physical requirements include but are not limited to: able to lift up to 60 lbs., push/pull up to 40 lbs., carry up to 30 lbs., frequent standing and walking required
• Prior housekeeping experience preferred
• Reliable transportation
• Must be able to work weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday) and holidays
