Description of Responsibilities:

Working in the Community Learning Service programs, DSPs provide direct daily supports and services to people with disabilities.

• The DSP leads group and individual activities that promote skill development, health and wellness, and employment.
• The DSP supports people to access services within the local communities, such as shopping and volunteering.
• The DSP supports the person in all activities of daily living as needed, such as bathing, toileting, dressing and grooming.
• DSPs drive vehicles that transport people to and from their CLS location, as well as for activities.
• DSPs support people personal care needs and completes required documentation.

Qualifications Required:

• HS Diploma or GED
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Must be able to meet the HealthCare Worker Background Check requirements and have valid IL Driver’s License.
• Must be able to lift and transfer individuals (75 lbs.).
• Employee must meet the requirements to drive a PACE vehicle.
• Positive and up-beat personality is a must.
• All employees are required upon hire to provide a Motor Vehicle Report obtained from the Secretary of State,
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• All employees must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Schedule: 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Monday - Friday

Locations: Burr Ridge, IL/ Lombard, IL

Salary: $18.00/hr.
