Description

Job Title: Senior Solutions Architect

Department: Business Development - Sales

Reports To: RavenTek VP of DoD Sales

Location: Remote

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Hours: Full-time, 40-hours/week

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Summary

This Senior Solutions Architect will work specifically with our DOD team. They will utilize their deep understanding of the full stack of technology solutions to work closely with sales teams to provide technical expertise, support complex sales processes, and deliver customized solutions that meet the unique needs of our federal clients. This position is critical to the success of the DOD Sales team and RavenTek as a whole.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer requirements and develop tailored solutions that align with federal standards and mandates.
  • Collaborate with the product team to customize offerings for the federal market.
  • Provide sales support, acting as a technical advisor in the sales process. Present and explain the technical aspects of solutions to prospective clients, ensuring their needs are met. 
  • Manage client relationships by building and maintaining strong relationships with federal clients, understanding their unique needs and challenges.
  • Conduct market analysis, keeping abreast of federal market trends and changes in regulations to inform product development and sales strategies.
  • Provide collaboration and training to the sales team, as well as support to ensure they are well-equipped to sell to federal clients.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations, highlighting how our solutions meet federal requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical proposals and responses to federal RFPs (Request for Proposal), ensuring compliance and competitiveness.
  • Provide ongoing technical support and consultation to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term partnership, to include post sale support.
  • Work with our CTO and team to manage and maintain the RavenTek demo lab Environment.
  • Enter actual time worked, once complete, at the end of the day, or no later than 10:00 a.m. the following workday, and submit timesheets at the end of each pay period.
  • Complete required compliance training as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Travel up to 50% to meet with clients and/or attend industry events.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Critical Skills

  • Strong understanding of federal procurement processes and security regulations.
  • Knowledge and experience with security technologies and/or infrastructure technologies preferred.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into simple terms for non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Existing relationships within the federal market a plus.

Education & Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field or 15 years’ technology industry related experience.
  • Proven experience in technology sales, particularly in the federal sector.

Certifications, Licenses

  • Technical certifications or advanced training in related technologies preferred.

Work Environment

Employee will be working indoors in an office environment with other people. Potential moderate temperature fluctuations. Typical indoor and computer related noise level, and typical office, paper, and equipment related dust. Exposure to video display terminals occurs regularly.

Physical Demands  

To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, the employee needs to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; see to read printed materials and computer screens; mobility to work in a typical office setting. Ability to work on desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and may be required to provide recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format. Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing. Employee must be able to lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically up to 20 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
