Summary Description:

Own the local demand plan for multiple product categories. Consolidate forecasts from Key Account Managers and maintain one category demand plan. Analyze, identify and mitigate planning gaps with Sales. Escalate planning and procurement conflicts to S&OP Coordinator.

Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

· Create rolling 12-months demand plan by item for assigned categories in TIA demand planning software

· Coordinate, consolidate and optimize forecast coming from Sales

· Be the sparring-partner for Key Account Managers (KAMs) to review and reflect forecast based on data analysis and history

o As needed, identify items to be planned by KAMs per channel/customer

o Provide and support with data analysis and history of demand by item

o Review and question KAM plans

o Support KAMs in technical planning execution in planning software TIA when needed (technical system specialist)

· Identify and compensate for potential gaps and deviations in the sales demand plan

· Balance and mitigate risk between service level and inventory

· Escalate procurement gaps to demand plan with KAMs and S&OP Coordinator

· Responsible for planning accuracy, tracking and feedback to KAMs

  • Prepare for and host monthly KAM/Demand Planning meetings
  • Collaborate with other internal departments and global S&OP team

· Support and substitute other Demand Planners in their absence

· Other Duties As Assigned

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong analytical skills, with an ability to troubleshoot, problem-solve, and efficiently make decisions
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written) with both external and internal customers
  • Excellent organizational, time management and prioritization skills:

o Ability to multi-task, maintain focus on several different projects at one time and hit deadlines

o Ability to be flexible with attention and priority

o Ability to work in a progressive, fast-paced environment (work well under pressure)

  • Computer skills:
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel, detailed understanding of Excel spreadsheets (required)
  • ERP experience required (SAP preferred)

o Experience with Demand Planning software preferred (Remira TIA A3 is a plus)

Education and Experience Requirements (Minimum):

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Data Management, or a related field

Experience:

  • 5 years of experience working in Planning, preferably in consumer products sector
  • Experience working in a global organization with varied functional interactions
