YOUR ROLE IN THE FAMILY:

    Manages the day-to-day activities related to receiving and distribution of materials and supplies to multiple production sites or storage locations in accordance with shipping plans
    Oversees the accuracy and timeliness of material loading and unloading, item piece counts, receipt transactions within SAP and delivery distribution to others
    Maintains a safe and secure work environment, including correcting unsafe acts/conditions
    Supports implementation, maintenance and ongoing improvement of the food safety and handling system
    Operates Forklifts to load and unload materials and deliveries
    Moves materials to and from storage areas, machines and loading docks, into railway cars or storage facilities
    Ensures loads are secure before transport
    Optimizes loads to ensure operational efficiency
    Identifies workplace safety hazards
    Performs daily equipment checks
    Examines products to verify conformance to quality standards
    Maintains and ensures adherence to sanitation practices
    Follows all standard operating procedures (SOP’s) for area of responsibility
    Follows instructions from supervisors regarding policies and procedures
    Effectively responds to directions during emergencies by understanding emergency procedures, equipment and systems as necessary; Implements contingency plan to the level required
    Complies with environmental regulations when using, dispensing, or handling hazardous and non-hazardous materials and waste

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR TO JOIN OUR FAMILY?

    Previous warehouse and inventory control experience
    Ability to communicate with co-workers, vendors, delivery drivers, forklift operators, and dispatchers
    Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors under adverse weather conditions
    An extensive knowledge and understanding of SAP
    Ability to apply standard evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard material handling techniques, procedures, and criteria
    Must be able to handle sensitive related and proprietary information in a confidential manner
    Performs such individual assignments as management may direct
    Must follow company policies, procedures, practices, and standards of conduct
    Maintains awareness and complies with hazardous waste management and other environmental management requirements in the workplace by attending scheduled training sessions
    Required on-the-job and classroom training
    Must maintain professional competence, ethical integrity, knowledge, and skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

    Works in a manufacturing environment
    While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to: talk, hear, reach with hands and arms, grasp, pick, lift, stand, walk, and perform repetitive motions. The employee must frequently lift and /or move 50 pounds. The employee is required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as operate production machines where the seeing job is at or within arm’s reach
    This position is exposed to occupational hazards, including but not limited to high noise levels, physical obstacles, exposure to chemicals, etc.
    May be required to complete tasks while working at elevated heights
    Working in elevated positions such as an order picker etc.
    Must wear appropriate safety glasses, hearing protection, clothing, and footwear in appropriate areas and follow safety practices
    Able to lift up to 50 pounds
