POSITION SUMMARY:
Rappahannock Goodwill Industries (RGI) is searching for an Assistant Store Manager who will assist in the operation of Retail Store, R11- Harrison Crossing. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will assist the store manager including daily activities of both the sales floor and processing department, assuring acceptable quality of goods are made available to the public in a safe, clean, attractive environment while meeting/exceeding sales goals.
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Assure adherence to all company policies and procedures, including the Employee Handbook, Cashier/Sales Associate Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures Manual.
• Meet production and sales goals on a consistent basis.
• Assist in supervising, hiring, firing, and monitoring performance of all Retail Employees at assigned location.
• Protect Company assets.
• Assist Store Manager with ensuring accurate and timely payroll entry, sales, and production reports and scheduling.
• Assist in any other store function as needed to assure all work goals are met and to reinforce cross training across all store functions.
• Oversee and assure Wares are processed and put on sales floor every 15 minutes.
• Maintain ADC centers where applicable.
• Assist with scheduling and pick-ups of ADC Centers as necessary.
• Maintain a 90% 5S standard at all times.
• Reinforce cross training efforts across all store functions and endeavors to continue self-development.
• Creates and maintain a safe work environment.
• Act as a role model for Customer service and the Goodwill mission.
• Assist Store Manager in ensuring their direct reports complete all training requirements by assigned deadlines.
• Promptly communicate and report all employee work injuries, incidents and leave of absence requests.
• Ensure the overall cleanliness and organization of the store.
• Ensure prompt communication with staff and leadership.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
 Education/Training:
 

• High School diploma or equivalent and 1 years of experience in a Retail Management and/or Supervisory role preferred.
• Must complete all RGI Assistant Supervisor training programs within required timeframe.
• Completion of all additional mandatory trainings will be required as outlined by your supervisor to retain this position.

Physical Demands:
 

• Ability to stand and move around for extended periods. Ability to climb, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, handle, carry, push, pull, and lift objects up to 50 pounds.

Working Conditions:
 

• Retail Store environment with variable work schedule. Some inside and outside work.
