Rapoza Landscape is seeking a skilled and motivated Construction/Hardscape Laborer to join our team. As a Construction/Hardscape Laborer, you will play a crucial role in executing various outdoor construction projects, including but not limited to hardscape installations, retaining walls, walkways, patios, and other landscaping features. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, collaborating with a team of experienced professionals to deliver high-quality outdoor living spaces for our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Hardscape Installation: Assist in the installation of various hardscape features such as retaining walls, patios, walkways, and outdoor living spaces according to design specifications and company standards.
  • Material Handling: Safely handle and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment to job sites. Ensure proper storage and organization of materials to maintain a clean and efficient work environment.
  • Site Preparation: Assist in site preparation activities including excavation, grading, and leveling to ensure a stable foundation for hardscape installations.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment such as skid steers, compactors, and saws as required for construction tasks. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when operating machinery.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with team members, including foremen, supervisors, and fellow laborers, to efficiently complete projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Quality Control: Inspect workmanship and materials to ensure adherence to project specifications and quality standards. Address any discrepancies or issues promptly to maintain project integrity.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety procedures and regulations on job sites to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of oneself and colleagues. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Client Interaction: Maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with clients and address any questions or concerns courteously and promptly.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in construction, landscaping, or hardscape installation preferred.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, bend, stoop, and perform physical tasks for extended periods in various weather conditions.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude towards teamwork and collaboration.
  • Basic knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and tools.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies in the landscaping industry.

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
