Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse to join our team. As a Psychiatric Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to patients with mental health conditions. Your expertise and compassion will help improve the lives of individuals in need.

Duties:

- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments to evaluate patients' mental health status

- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patients' needs and treatment goals

- Administer medications and monitor their effectiveness and side effects

- Provide counseling and therapy to patients, utilizing evidence-based practices

- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure holistic patient care

- Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies

- Monitor patients for any changes in behavior or symptoms, and adjust treatment plans accordingly

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

Qualifications:

- Valid nursing license in [state/region]

- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred

- Proven experience working as a Psychiatric Nurse or in a similar role

- Strong knowledge of psychiatric medications, treatments, and therapies

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations

- Empathy and compassion for individuals with mental health conditions

Skills:

- Cardiac catheterization

- Urgent care experience

- Experience with children, including toddler care

- Infectious disease care

- Neonatal ventilator experience

- Specimen collection processing

- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding system

- Ability to phlebotomize (draw blood)

- Familiarity with mammography procedures
