Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARY / DUTIES INCLUDE:• Create and maintain trade documentation for compliance initiatives such as; NAFTA, Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA), Country of Origin, Conflict Minerals and associated initiatives.• On-line shipment tracking – alerting internal customers to potential delays and furnishing proof of deliveries• Assist in carrier’s requests for information or resolution of issues for shipments in transit• Assist in resolving internal customer concerns related to transportation and other logistics related issues. • Quote freight and logistics costs for billing, purchasing and sales department requests• Perform functions and support the activity of other operations as necessary.QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a Logistics related position.• Strong computer skills including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ability to learn web portals and related transportation software.• Demonstrated ability to effectively organize and prioritize workload in a multi-task environment • Must have strong verbal and written communication and the ability to effectively communicate with diverse groups of people and build relationships.• Experience working in a shipping and receiving environment in a manufacturing or distribution facility.• Experience working in a customs brokerage or freight forwarder environment a definite plus.EDUCATION• High School Diploma or above.• Some college preferredAdditional InformationAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
