Rantec Power Systems Inc. is hiring an Entry-Level Engineering Project Manager!

Rantec is located in Los Osos, California is an upper-tier designer and manufacturer of power supplies for the military and aerospace markets. We are an engineering-based company, with expertise in all aspects of power supply design, manufacturing and test.

Position Summary

Overall project authority to include responsibility for scope, cost, and schedule within contract requirements and concurrence of the Director of Engineering. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties include, but, are not limited to the following:

Responsible for overall project including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control, and closeout.

  • Scope management
  • Schedule development and management
  • Project cost and design to unit production cost management
  • Resource allocation
  • Stakeholder communication
  • Risk management
  • Project Planning
  • Proposal activities management
  • Provide communication, motivation, and leadership example necessary to foster individual and organization rapport and teamwork

Education and Experience

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering (i.e., Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical)
  • 0-3 years progressively responsible experience in an electronics product development and production environment
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, MS Project exp. a plus)
  • Trained in EVMS techniques highly desired
  • Ability to read and extract relevant information from engineering drawings
  • Ability to successfully execute duties under pressure from deadlines
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
