Job Description

The Robotic Welder Operator is responsible for setting-up, operating and performing work with a welding robot to fabricate numerous metal parts and components according to product specifications and pre-programmed machine control instructions. This position ensures that raw materials are correctly loaded into fixtures/jigs for welding and utilizes the robotic welding equipment to manufacture welded components while meeting a defined production schedule. The Robotic Welding Operator will will also verify product quality by using inspection and measuring equipment (gages, micrometers, rulers).
Plant Location: Milner, GA
Salary: $15.00 to $20.00 /hour (starting pay based on experience and shift)
Job Type: Full-time 1st Shift

ROBOTIC WELDER OPERATOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Operate robotic welder.
  • Set welding jigs according to specific setup instructions.
  • Occasionally grind or spot weld parts.
  • Inspecting finished parts for quality.
  • Must be willing to rotate to different workstations as production needs require.
  • Read blueprints and work instruction.
  • Read measuring devices.
  • Read and follow work instructions.
  • Must be able to stand up to 10-12 hours per day.
  • Constantly lift and/or move to up 50 lbs.
  • Identify and document problems, sets goals, tracks progress and works with teams to implement solutions.
  • Report issues and concerns to the Team Leader or Supervisor.
  • Basic understanding of Quality Management System standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
ROBOTIC WELDER OPERATOR QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Welding Certification.
  • CNC experience preferred.
  • Ability to operate and maintain Robotic Welding Machines.
  • Ability to operate MIG, TIG, and spot-welding machines.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • 1 years of weld operation and set-up.
  • Is a team player but can also work independently.
  • Has strong attention to detail.
  • Good work ethic.
