Responsibilities
Purpose: To describe the basic responsibilities and training needed to qualify as an Advanced inspector.
This role maybe in additional responsibility to the regular job functions.
Responsibilities: - Will be qualified to perform all functions of the Basic Inspector role.
- Perform hardness tests per WI 8.5.03.
- Perform inspections per WI 8.5.04, to include saw, machining, sampling, marking, and final inspection.
- Ensure incoming Products and Materials meet dimensional requirements per W.8.5.08.
Work Environment: Machine shop environment and inspection lab.
Knowledge & Training: Inspection WI 8.5.04 and Hardness Testing WI 8.5.03. NCR procedure. Record retention and storage for vendor certs. Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions given in English.
Licenses/Certificates: Forklift safety training.
Experience: Five years or more in manufacturing.
Skills: Basic math
Blueprint reading
Familiar with GD&T
Demonstrate the ability to read ability to accurately measure with Micrometers, Calipers, Bore Micrometers, and Bore gages
Physical Demands: - Able to lift more than 50 pounds.
- Ability to sit or stand in place for 4 hours or more.
Other: ability to work weekends, or overtime.
