**Summary:**

Safe and correct construction of products working in multiple cells and at multiple stations within the cells.

**Essential Functions:**

Laborer Tier 1

* Assist with gathering materials and appropriate parts/components for each work order

* Read, review and understand print/schematic and instructions (when applicable)

* Correctly clean lock back, liner/frame lock folding knives and fixed blade knives

* Correctly clean pens, tools (when applicable), automatic and assisted opening knives (excluding G10 handles/scale material)

* Ensure conformance with cosmetic and basic function specifications

* Rework finished product as needed

* Other duties as implied or assigned

Laborer Tier 2

* Able to perform Laborer 1 duties

* Able to perform 1 of the following:

Correctly clean products with G10 and Micarta based handle/scale material or

Correctly construct components into lock back folding knives or

Correctly construct components into Handle/Slide Lock sub-assemblies

Correctly construct products and components into finished products in multiple steps or stations to meet customer requirements at >85% efficiency with <2% defect rates

Laborer Tier 3

* Able to perform Laborer 1 duties

* Able to perform the following:

Correctly clean products with G10 and Micarta based handle/scale material

Correctly construct components into lock back folding knives

Correctly construct components into Handle/Slide Lock sub-assemblies

Correctly construct products and components into finished products in multiple steps or stations to meet customer requirements at >95% efficiency with <2% defect rates

* Able to perform 1 of the following:

Correctly construct components into fixed blade knives, pens and solid-state tools

Correctly construct handle/slide lock sub-assemblies and other components into Tool Pack sub-assemblies

Laborer Tier 4

* Able to perform Laborer 1 duties

* Able to perform the following:

Correctly clean products with G10 and Micarta based handle/scale material

Correctly construct components into lock back folding knives

Correctly construct components into Handle/Slide Lock sub-assemblies

Correctly construct components into fixed blade knives, pens and solid-state tools

Correctly construct handle/slide lock sub-assemblies and other components into Tool Pack sub-assemblies

Correctly construct products and components into finished products in multiple steps or stations to meet customer requirements at >95% efficiency with <2% defect rates

* Able to perform 1 of the following:

Laborer Tier 5

* Able to perform Laborer 1 duties

* Able to perform the following:

Correctly clean products with G10 and Micarta based handle/scale material

Correctly construct components into lock back folding knives

Correctly construct components into Handle/Slide Lock sub-assemblies

Correctly construct components into fixed blade knives, pens and solid-state tools

Correctly construct handle/slide lock sub-assemblies and other components into Tool Pack sub-assemblies

Correctly construct components into automatic and assisted opening folding knives

Correctly construct Tool pack sub-assemblies and other components into complete multi tools

Correctly construct products and components into finished products in multiple steps or stations to meet customer requirements at >95% efficiency with <2% defect rates

Correctly and completely Setup/changeover clam sealing machines

* Able to perform 1 of the following:

Correctly assemble components into liner lock folding knives

Correctly construct components into out-the-front knives

Correctly assemble components into complete multi tools without dedicated sub-assemblies

Laborer Tier 6 - Key Person 1

* Coordinate laborers to minimize waste in changeover wait time and shortages

* Coach laborers on proper construction and rework methods

* Perform cell setup and product audits to ensure product meets cosmetic and functional specifications

* Perform construction and rework tasks as assigned

* Fill in for Lead in their absence

Laborer Tier 7 - Lead 1

* Coordinate work order completion to meet planning requirements

* Communicate department challenges and concerns to supervisor

* Assist manager and/or supervisor with training of staff

* Research and resolve problems associated with Departmental operations

* Accurately prepare and maintain documentation and databases used in department

* Work with other departments to resolve problems

* Assist in prioritizing work assignments and work loads

* Assist with monitoring and maintaining applicable FIFO and Kanban systems

**Education and Experience Qualifications:**

* Limited PC skills

* Leadership Skills (Key and Lead position)

* Strong oral and written communication skills (Key and Lead position)

* Meets housekeeping requirements

* Performs work with regard to safety and ergonomic requirements

* Able to recognize, count and match numbers

* Able to read orders and safety signs

* Able to read, speak and understand work instructions given in English

* Able to work well with others

* Able to cross train and assist others with training

**Physical Requirements:**

Occasionally up to 33% of the time; approx.0 2.5 hours/day

Frequently between 33% and 66% of the time; approx. 2.5 5.5 hours/day

Constantly more than 66% of the time; approx. 5.5 hours/day
