We are looking for a Project Manager/ Scrum Master who is about 50/50 with regards to experience/ skills. This person will be acting in both capacities to help support some additional projects for a client of ours headquartered in San Antonio, TX. This is a contract to hire role and although remote you must reside in Texas.

We are looking for candidates that meet the following requirements:

• Bachelors Degree or equivalent industry experience
• 5-8 years of experience managing, independently, implementations of large projects greater than $5 million and an effort of over 10,000 hours to include 4 years of experience on software development teams, plus at least 4 years' experience as a Scrum Master working with multiple Agile teams (please note your experience can be 50/50 Project Management vs Scrum Master)
• Knowledge of Project Management disciplines
• Knowledge of Software development lifecycle
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• strong organizational skills
• Demonstrated proficiency in the application of Agile frameworks and practices
• Proven ability to manage and mentor development teams effectively
• Excellent interpersonal, project management, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to effectively present ideas, facilitate meetings and discussions, and design and lead training workshops
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft computer applications
• A CSM/PSM, A-CSM, or CSP-SM certification

responsibilities:

• responsible for coordinating the implementation of business systems in support of Lines of Business programs.
• Responsibilities will include developing the project charter, capacity, effort and cost estimates, resource requirements, work break down structure, and schedule
• scheduling resources on tasks, status update meetings, and working sessions; conducting reviews and tracking the progress of the project
• reporting and presenting to the project stakeholders
• monitoring the vendor deliverables and service level agreements for the project
• developing risk assessment, risk mitigations/responses, documentation of issues, assigning issues, and tracking issues to closure
• following and enhancing established Project Management methodology, deliverables, standards, and procedures and utilization of project budget by developing capital expenditures and reviewing and approving invoices.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure they follow their Agile framework values and practices, while developing the Agile mindset overall
• Facilitate decision-making processes and eliminate team impediments to support software initiatives
• Mentor, measure and motivate development teams to optimize processes and increase productivity
• Design and lead workshops to educate and advocate for Agile framework values and practices, with a focus on Scrum, Kanban and Scrumban
• Inspire individual growth by coaching team members to be self-organizing and accountable
