Job Description:

Establish the approach and framework for building the enterprise data model for our organization. Leveraging industry standards, build the comprehensive representation of all data assets and their relationships. Working in close partnership with data governance, the data management team, and business partners develop the blueprint for organizing and managing data across the enterprise ensuring consistency, interoperability, and alignment with business goals.

As an Enterprise Data Architect Consultant you will be responsible for:

• Gathering Requirements: Collaborating with business to understand their data needs, requirements, and business objectives
• Data Discovery: Analyzing existing data sources, systems and processes to identify relevant data entities, attributes, and relationships
• Data Modeling: Designing the conceptual, logical, and physical data models that represent the structure and semantics (Data Dictionary Alignment) of the org's data assets, leveraging industry standard models such as FDX
• Standardization: Establishing data model standards, naming conventions, and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across the enterprise
• Documentation: Documenting the enterprise data model, including data definitions, metadata, and data lineage to facilitate understanding and comms (high collage with data governance)
• Validation and Iteration: Validation of the enterprise model with stakeholders and SMEs to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment with business requirements, iteratively refining the model based on feedback and changing business needs
• Maintain collaborative, consultative relationships with internal partners and third-party consultants.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Statistics, Mathematics, Applied Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related. Required.

Experience

• 10 years of experience in data modeling, data design, and architecture
• Certifications such as DAMA/TOGAF preferred
• Banking industry experience preferred
