Randolph High School is Hiring a High School Multilingual Learner Teacher (2024-2025) Near Randolph, MA
Multilingual Learner TeacherResponsibilities will include: •Planning, developing and implementing instruction in English as a Second Language in a self-contained setting and in mainstream classes.•Deliver instruction to newcomer groups in Math and Science.•Collaborating with mainstream teachers in push-in classrooms.•Utilizing a variety of instructional methodologies and curriculum resources geared specifically towards ELL students.•Working as a team member, sharing common planning, professional development, curriculum design, and teaching responsibilities.•Administering student assessments and planning instruction for students based on the data from the assessments. •Specifically, understanding how to use WIDA (Massachusetts English Language proficiency standards) in order to differentiate instruction for students at different language proficiency levels•Being an active member of the school's Language Assessment team•Facilitating and participating in Transition meetings for students who meet the minimum expectations for leaving ELL services.•Attending school based meetings, as needed and pertinent English Language Learner professional development sessions.•Completing necessary paperwork regarding the identification, progress monitoring and transitioning of English Language Learners in each school.•Providing support and sharing information with school staff on ESL/ELL matters.Terms:182 school days in accordance with the Randolph Education Association (REA) collective bargaining agreementResponsibilities will include: • Planning, developing and implementing instruction in English as a Second Language in a self-contained setting.• Collaborating with mainstream teachers in push-in classrooms.• Utilizing a variety of instructional methodologies and curriculum resources geared specifically towards ELL students.• Working as a team member, sharing common planning, professional development, curriculum design, and teaching responsibilities.• Administering student assessments and planning instruction for students based on the data from the assessments.
