Overview: We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Deli Associate. As a Deli Associate, you will play a key role in providing excellent service to our customers and ensuring the smooth operation of our deli department. Responsibilities: - Prepare and serve a variety of deli products, including sandwiches, salads, and hot food items - Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their orders and answering any questions they may have - Operate cash registers and handle cash transactions accurately - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli area, including food preparation surfaces, equipment, and display cases - Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to ensure the quality and freshness of our products - Stock shelves, refrigerators, and display cases with deli items as needed - Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of any shortages or discrepancies Skills: - Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management - Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and team members - Previous experience in the food industry or culinary field is preferred - Familiarity with Aloha POS system is a plus - Knowledge of food preparation techniques and safe food handling practices - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail - Excellent sales skills to promote deli products and upsell to customers - Strong teamwork abilities to collaborate with other deli associates and support overall store operations We offer competitive pay rates and opportunities for career growth within our organization.
