About the job:

Rand Enterprises Inc. is looking for an experienced and well-organized Construction Superintendent to join our team in Hampton Roads, VA.

The Construction Superintendent is independently responsible for managing all field activities, ensuring the proper performance of all subcontractors in the safety, quality, and timeliness of their work.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

· Proactively manage the project schedule to a safe, timely, and successful completion.

· Co-conduct regular Subcontractor coordination meetings with the Project Manager.

· Identify and resolve all on-site project-specific issues in conjunction with the Project Manager and escalate the necessary issues up to the appropriate person.

· Prepare and distribute all necessary project documents including, but not limited to: daily reports, 3-week look ahead schedule, incident reports, safety inspection reports, permits, investigation reports, etc.

Qualifications & Experience:

· B.S. in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field position or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Extensive experience and knowledge of commercial construction means and methods and a thorough understanding of industry practices. (5 year minimum)

· Proficiency in MS Office software, as well as Bluebeam (preferred).

· Ability to foster strong relationships with subcontractors, owners, and engineers.

· Must meet the requirements of EM 385-1-1 and have experience in the areas of hazard identification and safety compliance: OSHA 30 and First Aid/CPR.

· Must have valid Driver's License, acceptable driving record, and be able to obtain access to military installations.

Search is currently focused on eligible candidates residing within normal commuting distance to our Hampton Roads, VA jobsites.
