TITLE: Nursery Driver and Technician

DEPARTMENT: Nursery

STATUS: Full-time/Part-Time Position

REPORTS TO: Nursery Manager

WHERE: Rana Creek Nursery 7495 Williams Ranch Road, Carmel CA, 93923

Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliveries and picking up plant material
• Plant maintenance including propagation, pruning, and weeding, irrigating, and light pest control
• Other duties are required as necessary or as directed by the Nursery Manager

Qualifications

• Applicant must possess a valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
• Must have past horticulture experience
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision
• Prior experience with pesticide handling required
• Experience with a variety of hand and mechanized tools required
• Experience driving a tractor preferred
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work in inclement conditions
• Ability to identify pests and pathogens preferred
• Basic Greenhouse maintenance experience (irrigation installation and maintenance, basic hoop house set-up and maintenance) strongly preferred
• Experience in plant identification preferred
• Customer Service experience desired

Job Type: Full-time/Part-Time position

Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
