Provides a standard registration process by collecting demographic and financial data and enter information into an electronic medical record.

Primary Responsibilities : Greets and welcomes patient in person Collects demographic and insurance information Checks in and interviews patient to complete appropriate paperwork Directs patient to their appointment or procedure Documents any issues and resolutions in electronic medical record Uses resources, tools and procedure to complete registration for complex accounts May assist in scheduling add-on appointments Verifies eligibility and benefits information for payers and interprets results focusing on complex billing situations Obtains cost information and explains information to patient if necessary Collects co-pay or deductibles Assists and counsels patient with application process for available financial assistance programs Provides technical or functional direction for employees Uses resources, tools and procedures to complete accounts in assigned work queues Assists patient in completion of request for information forms and submits to appropriate department You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.

Required Qualifications : Must be 18 years or older 2 years of revenue cycle experience in a hospital / healthcare setting 2 years of customer service experience Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office products Ability to work on a per diem basis, irregular schedule within any of the following shifts 7 days per week Day Shift : 8.

5-hour shift starting anywhere between 5 : 30am-9 : 00am Evening Shift : 8.5-hour shift starting between 2 : 30pm-3 : 00pm Night Shift : 11 : 00pm 7 : 30am Ability to work holidays Preferred Qualifications : Experience with electronic medical records PLEASE NOTE The sign-on bonus is only available to external candidates.
