Rally Point Resources is Hiring a Remote Land Professional (Rights-of-Way)

Description
- Our team of Rights-of-Way Land Professionals are responsible for researching, acquiring and processing easements or other rights-of-way throughout the continental US.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Good understanding of applicable laws, rules, regulations, right of way policies, procedures, terminology, and right of way/real property acquisition policies and procedures
- Effective negotiation, advocacy, and influencing skills
- Thorough understanding of various surface related contracts and agreements
- Competent interpretation of topographic maps
- Strong critical thinking skills; ability to exercise good business judgment and make sound decisions
- Exceptional communication skills
- Effective conflict resolution and relationship management skills
- Ability to plan and organize workload, adjust to changing priorities, and work well under pressure with minimal supervision
- Skilled in performing title research related to the surface estates of land ownership
- Ability to utilize county and state websites to research property data
- Ability to read and interpret maps and utilize mapping software or programs
- Ability to deed plot property boundaries utilizing metes and bounds
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs
- Position likely to require at least limited travel
- AAPL Membership preferred
Duties
- Negotiate, prepare, review, and revise legal contracts with private landowners and governmental agencies for the acquisition of rights-of-way
- Interpret ownership reports that consist of deeds, wills and related documents to establish property ownership
- Use courthouse computer systems and/or physical records to examine property and tax assessment records for compilation of information about specific properties
- Prepare daily activity reports of interactions with landowners for management review
- Perform title research as needed
- Complete due diligence to ensure accuracy and completeness of land rights or to identify and bring forward deficiencies requiring curative action
- Communicate with Rally Point Resources management or client
