Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our team to work in the Illinois metro-east area. As a Drywall Finisher, you will be responsible for preparing and finishing drywall surfaces in residential and commercial construction projects. Your attention to detail and expertise in drywall finishing techniques will contribute to the overall quality and appearance of our projects.
Duties:
- Repair any imperfections or damages on the drywall surface
- Apply joint compound and tape to seams and joints between drywall sheets
- Smooth and feather out the joint compound to create a seamless finish
- Sand the drywall surface to ensure a smooth and even texture
- Apply texture or paint finishes as required
- Ensure that all work is completed according to project specifications and industry standards
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Drywall Finisher in the construction industry
- Knowledge of drywall finishing techniques
- Proficient in using tools such as taping banjos, automated finishing boxes, sanders, and finishing knives
- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
- Ability to follow instructions, excellent problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require bending, lifting, walking stilts, and standing for long periods of time
