Job Description
- Rochester, NY
- $18 to $25 per hour based on experience
- Contract to Hire
- Day Shift, 7 : 00 AM to 3 : 30 PM, Monday to Friday
Raise Workforce has partnered with a leading sheet metal and custom weld fabricators in the contract manufacturing industry.
As a Maintenance Technician , you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing facility, grounds and manufacturing machinery.
You would also be responsible for supervising custodial staff.
What you will be doing...
- Inspect, maintain and perform primary repair of mechanical equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance on all building machinery and equipment
- Make recommendations regarding replacement of machinery
- Keep the building in compliance with OSHA regulations
Why this is the right job for you
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge of manufacturing machinery
- Five or more years related experience preferred
- Hands-on knowledge of painting, carpentry, plumbing, etc.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical wiring, circuits, up to 220V
- Must supply own tools
- Fluent in verbal and written English
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Requires frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers
- May be required to stand for long periods of time
- May involve some repetitive motions
- Due to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold
