Summary

Cleans and maintains the orderly appearance of the assigned facilities by performing the following duties.

Duties

• Cleans the administrative offices, breakroom and restrooms, Carpenter Work Center offices and restrooms and the Rainbow Omega Community Center. Knows and accounts for each facility’s layout and follows cleaning schedule provided to ensure quality and thorough cleaning services.

• For the Administrative building, The Rainbow Omega Community Center, and Carpenter Work Center (Monday thru Friday):
  • Empties wastebaskets.
  • Transports trash and waste to disposal area.
  • Scrubs and sanitizes restroom counters, toilets, and sinks.
  • Cleans all mirrors.
  • Cleans water fountains, front windows and doors.
  • Dusts all furniture, equipment, desks and tables (except residents’ work tables).
  • Sweeps, mops, scrubs and sanitizes tile or hardwood floors.
  • Cleans and vacuums rugs, carpets, and upholstered furniture.
  • Checks all doors, sets security alarm in administrative building, and locks all outside doors.
  • Dust, Mop, and sweep Hall floors of Vocational building and Rainbow Omega Community Center.

• Places order with appropriate staff for approved cleaning supplies.
• Keeps utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition.
• Disinfects and sterilizes equipment and supplies.
• Reports any maintenance issues or needed repairs to the Residential Program Director or designee (such as water leaks, plumbing problems, etc.).
• Keeps the Residential Program Director or designee informed of any complaints, incidents or issues involving housekeeping.
• Participates in appropriate Residential Services and ROI meetings, as requested.
• Performs such other duties as assigned by the Residential Program Coordinator, Residential Program Director or Chief Operating Officer/HR Director.

Education and/or Experience

High school diploma or GED preferred; and at least one-year experience in cleaning facilities. A valid drivers license is required.

Must successfully complete criminal history record check and TB screening.
