Rainbow International Restoration of East Stroudsburg is Hiring a RESTORATION TECHNICIAN Near Stroudsburg, PA

- Flexible shifts - Participate in an “On Call” rotation for after-hours service calls which involves some weekends and night responsibilities
- Learn and become proficient in water restoration which includes structural drying, contents drying and restoration along with precision demolition and salvage.
- Learn and become proficient in mold remediation procedures including preparing an area for a post-clearance test to verify our results.
- Learn and become proficient in fire damage clean-up, smoke and soot removal and deodorization of structural components and contents.
- Drive a company vehicle to locations designated by customers. Load and unload equipment and supplies from the vehicle to the work site. Clear the work site by moving furniture and equipment and restore the work site to the original configuration when the job is complete.
- Perform regular cleaning services of carpets, upholstery and draperies on an as needed basis.
- Establish and maintain a service schedule to ensure all service is delivered to meet customer requirements.
- Follow all Environmental Protection Agency and other applicable federal, state and local regulations for disposal of waste water and chemicals.
- Comply with all verbal and written safety practices including the use and maintenance of personal protective equipment. Read and comprehend all applicable SDSs for chemicals that require special handling and use of Personal Protective Equipment.
- Maintain all assigned vehicles and equipment to Company published standards.
- Perform other duties as required. These duties may include job functions that are outside the scope of normal job duties.
- Previous experience in restoration and/or construction will be given top consideration, but is not necessary to apply. We will train the right person.
- Have mid-level computer skills and be familiar with Windows operating systems and email.
- Functional understanding of PDA’s (smart phones).
- Aptitude for learning new technology and software easily.
- Proficient in the use of Xactimate would be helpful.
- Certified in Water restoration (IICRC WTR) is a plus
- Certified in Applied Structural Drying (IICRC - ASD) is a plus
- Certified in Applied Microbial restoration (IICRC - AMRT) is a plus
- Ability & Desire to learn tasks quickly
