We are seeking a Marketing Copywriter to join our team, focusing on crafting compelling marketing content. The ideal candidate will excel in creating powerful narratives and persuasive messaging across various platforms, including email marketing, blogs, and website content. You'll be responsible for producing high-quality, engaging content that resonates with diverse audiences, ensuring that our brand voice and messaging are consistent and impactful. A balance of creativity and analytical skills is key, as you'll need to employ both to develop content that not only captures attention but also drives results.

Day in the Life:

• Writing and self-editing blog posts that are engaging, actionable, error-free, and follow our style guide.
• Conducting keyword research, planning, structuring, and optimizing content based on targeted keywords.
• Manage blog calendars effectively and maintain consistent output with minimal oversight.
• Working closely with other team members and departments to write new feature announcements.
• Writing email newsletters and automated campaigns
• Writing intriguing headlines, UX content, and landing pages.

Who You Are:

• You can research and understand technical concepts and then explain them in simple terms to people who aren't tech-savvy.
• You're comfortable with accepting critical feedback without taking it personally.
• Loves learning new skills and is comfortable working with minimal direction.
• Exceptional communication skills, ensuring clarity and attention to detail in all tasks.
• Ability to meet deadlines and exceed expectations
• Self-motivated, team player, experimental, sense of humor, open to feedback
• Passionate about Rain's mission to support small businesses
• SASS writing experience is a plus

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of marketing copywriting or blog writing experience
• WordPress Experience: You're comfortable with writing and formatting posts and pages, troubleshooting errors, etc.
• Writing and Editing: You can write a well-structured article with impeccable grammar and spelling in a conversational tone.
• Basic SEO: You understand what SEO is and why it's important.
• Provide your portfolio of writing samples and past work
