Dealership Group Controller Position Summary

Location - Rochester Hills, MI 

Dealership Group Controller Responsibilities

• Lead front office supervising staff, including day-to-day operations, in collaboration with the general manager and other store managers' needs
• Streamline auto dealer systems, including organizing filing systems, ordering office supplies, maintenance and improvement of DMS, scheduling meetings, and preparing financial statements
• Make sure dealership accounting office and auto finance policies are adhered to and reflect our company’s high standards in conjunction with state and federal laws
• Analyze and submit manufacturer Financial Statements as well as compile company expense analysis and budgeting reports 
• Communicate with third-party vendors, contractors, service providers, and customers as a professional representative of our dealership management team
• Coach, train and council Accounting and Admin leaders
• Perform additional human resources and office administration duties, as needed

Dealership Group Controller Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory
• Two or more years of experience in office management is required - automobile dealership experience or similar is required
• Accounting analysis, schedule review, income, balance sheet review, and sales tax
• Excellent time management, training, knowledge of the automotive industry, and communication skills are needed
• Progressive thinker and problem solver
• Ability to coach, train and counsel Accounting and Admin leaders
• Proven business leader and business acumen
• Capable of adapting and experienced in change management culture
