JOB SUMMARY

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

The Warehouse Receiving Manager will be responsible for coordination and function of all back-end warehouse processes including shipping, receiving, and warehousing.

Shipping :

Warehouse Receiving Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily outbound shipments of all customer orders for the repair, surplus, and distribution orders.

The Warehouse Receiving Manager must ensure that Radwell’s shipping processes are followed precisely to ensure customer satisfaction.

These processes include, proper packing according to Radwell procedures, proper inclusion of marketing materials, and proper use of shipping software.

Warehouse Receiving Manager will constantly seek to improve Radwell’s processes to ensure maximum efficiency and customer protection.

Receiving :

Warehouse Receiving Manager will be responsible for all involvement touching and concerning receiving. Receiving is a two-prong process by which all products destined for customers pass through.

New product is taken from vendor shipments and allocated to the proper customer order through a reconciliation process developed by Radwell.

Additionally, the Operating manager will receive high-tech repairs and ensure the repairs are distributed to the appropriate technicians.

Surplus receiving is the lifeblood of Radwell’s surplus sales. Radwell International is one of, if not the largest, supplier of surplus goods in the world.

Our massive inventory is fueled by millions of dollars of surplus goods that flow through its receiving department. The receiving department must be proficient in the product coding systems applied by a large number of manufacturers including, but not limited to :

  • Westinghouse
  • Square D,

These manufacturers are only a small sample of the breadth of product Radwell receives. The manager must be able to :

1) Research the manufacturers’ product coding

2) Assign the code product number to a particular unit

3) Input the product into Radwell’s custom data collection system to be marketed.

The products received will include :

In addition to determining the proper part number, the receiving manager must be able to accurately record the originating vendor, the condition, and the acquisition date, and track the flow of the product from receipt through sale in Radwell’s custom data collection system.

The condition of each unit shall be determined by the receiving staff at the direction and under the supervision of the Operating Manager.

The unit condition is an extremely important part of the receiving process, affecting the price at which Radwell will advertise.

The Operating Manager must have the technical knowledge to understand the difference between new and used units. Said knowledge requires the manager to look beyond mere cosmetic differences and apply Radwell’s processes to ensure proper classification.

The Operating manager must ensure all employees are accurately utilizing Radwell’s custom software and properly assigning part numbers to a unit intended for sale.

The Operating manager is responsible for running reports on the purchase and receipt of different units in order to ensure adequate inventory.

The Operating manager is responsible for constantly improving the Receiving processes

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, organize, and monitor all processes related to the accurate receiving and placement into inventory of all items received from vendors and others for the PLC Center division.
  • Ensure proper daily operation and overall coverage and staffing and production monitoring of the Receiving function
  • Facilitate and oversee any major changes to the Receiving process such as changes in operating hours, physical changes and expansion, and building location changes.
  • Provide overall strategic direction to the Receiving process by analyzing workflow and productivity and suggesting and making improvements to physical layout, process flow, and computer processes.
  • Direct and manage overall personnel assigned to Receiving, Shipping and Warehouse and ensure a clean, safe, happy, and motivated working environment.

Oversee and direct the workforce by providing input to hiring decisions and other personnel matters such as terminations, pay, salary and bonus and commission programs.

  • Ensure adequate training and mentorship for all Receiving staff members
  • Ensure that all auxiliary and supporting processes related to Receiving such as vendor payment processes are performed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Facilitate, manage, and oversee all functions that relate to or impact Receiving such as the scheduling and arrangement of deliveries and working with internal and external groups to ensure a timely and efficient flow of materials through the Receiving production lines.
  • Receives surplus units into stock using Radwell’s custom-built receiving software which allows user to search item catalog, create new parts, receive pricing approval, cross-reference these items, and capture the item image and weight.
  • Performs research on individual manufacturers regarding the coding system used to determine part numbers including : series, voltage, electric current, output, input, and color.
  • Identifies surplus units by manufacturer, brand, part number, series, and other specific features including, but not limited to programmable logic controllers, assembly racks, processors, servo motors, AC Drives, DC Drives, CPU’s, sensing devices, photoelectric devices, light curtains, safety switches, contact blocks, relays, timers, counters, cables, transistors, capacitors, thyristors, and printed circuit boards.
  • Maintains a knowledge of industrial, Automation, MRO, Pneumatic, Motion, Electrical, Hydraulic, HVAC, Clean Room, Process Control, Robotics, CNC, Flame Safety, Fire Safety, Flow and Electrical Control Equipment for Plant Floor and Facilities Maintenance Machinery manufactured by (but not limited to) any of the following Companies : Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron, Banner, Compumotor, Electro Craft, Toshiba, Texas Instruments, Control Technologies (CTI), Automation Direct, Westinghouse, Square D, Telemecanique, Modicon, Cutler Hammer, Honeywell, Microswitch, Indramat, ABB, Emerson, Fenner, Eagle Signal, Dynapar, Veeder Root, Eurotherm, Robert Shaw, Fireye, Landis & Gyr, Johnson Controls, Bailey, Foxboro, Westinghouse, Sick, Control Techniques, Reliance, ASCO, Baldor, Cooper, TYCO, Crouse Hinds, Hubbell, Datalogic, Festo, Fluke, Fanuc, Schneider, Keyence, Krones, Rexroth, MTI, Mitsubishi, Pepperl & Fuchs, Sola, 3COM, Brad Harrison, Hoffman, Moeller, Nematron, Phoenix Contact, Trionic, Turck, Warner, SMC, Mac Valve, Bosch or Indramat
  • Periodically inspect surplus stock to ensure that unit descriptions are accurate.
  • Must be able to differentiate between, new in box, new no box, used, and scrap inventory.
  • Oversee and assist warehouse personnel with the daily parcel and freight deliveries; ensuring proper landing and breakdown procedures are utilized.
  • Oversee Shipping personnel to ensure proper packaging materials, marketing materials, and shipping methods are in use.
  • Assist Shipping personnel with the shipping processes when necessary.
  • Request quotes and make arrangements for freight deliveries; prepare necessary documents for freight deliveries.
  • Verify orders are not on Credit Hold prior to shipment being processed.
  • Create returns cases, issue RMAs, create and process new distribution vendor returns
  • Receive / process in house returns (credits & warranties) using custom Radwell data collection tools
  • Prepare credits (Calculate money to be credited, return reasons, check remaining inventory for additional discrepancies & notify inventory support)
  • Contact customers via phone / email regarding any discrepancies with warranty / credit return
  • Expedite warranties and credits in house with Quality Control technicians, team leaders, technicians; outsource coordinator, and repair’s expeditor.

Keep sales and their customers up to date with the status of their in house warranty / credit.

  • Track returned units / RMAs daily
  • Breakdown daily deliveries of new product, surplus product, and high-tech repairs
  • Understand and abide by warranty terms and conditions
  • Verify condition of units; use discretion to label
  • Research (Google, tech library), verify and correct inventory with part number and condition errors. Pull remaining inventory to check for any other discrepancies.
  • Re-train current receivers in regards to the condition / part number errors as they come along
  • Update part number descriptions, photographs, prices when needed.
  • Research and approve part number not currently in the system.
  • Respond to Management Reports for issued credits

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in business and production management (can be waived at the company’s discretion), and field experience required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is a hands on management job that may often require getting involved in and doing the actual tasks performed by all personnel in the department and may involve various physical demands including :
