Position Title: Valet
Reports To: Concierge Manager/ Valet Manager
Position Summary:
As a Valet your primary responsibility is to assist and retrieving residents and guests’ vehicles. Also responsible for welcoming residents/guests and giving a fond farewell. Assisting with groceries, providing directions and any other related assistance. Monitor and maintain safety, and cleanliness of parking areas/levels, and report any safety problems.
Valet Driver Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Open main doors and assist residents/visitors entering and leaving the property.
2. Assist with opening/closing vehicle doors.
3. Welcome residents and guests with appropriate greetings of the day.
4. Acknowledge and greet residents/guests within 25 to seconds and provide professional, fast and friendly service.
5. Able to communicate parking procedures.
6. Tag guest vehicle keys with date & time, make/model, room number contact number of the owner.
7. Provide correct receipt of valet parking to the resident.
8. Verify receipt with the one attached to the key before handing over keys vehicle.
9. Announce for driver on the mic when the resident/guest is ready to depart from the hotel.
10. Announce for drivers’ car on the mic when the guest handover the parking receipt
11. Able to effectively park and retrieve cars without causing damage to the vehicle.
12. Ability to drive and operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
13. Able to provide guests with information regarding property facilities, amenities, service hours of operation.
14. Able to provide guests with direction and local areas of interest and activities.
15. Give fond farewell to all guests who are departing as per hotel standard.
16. Monitor and direct vehicle traffic on property.
17. Ensure vehicles are legally parked and to maintain a smooth and efficient flow of traffic.
18. Ensure all residents/guest valet experience is pleasant and memorable.
19. Responsible to maintain the security of vehicles keys while in our possession.
20. Responsible to follow up with guests to ensure their requests or problems have been met their satisfaction.
21. Responsible for opening and closing parking area or facility.
22. Document and report all vehicle incidents like damages, accidents, theft, missing articles etc.
23. Review shift logs/daily memo books and document any relevant details or information logbook.
24. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the supervisor or manager.
25. Monitor and maintain safety, security, and cleanliness of parking areas, and behind the valet stand.
26. Responsible to report any security or safety problems, safety hazards and potential security problems to the supervisors.
27. Re-route traffic when parking facility reaches maximum capacity and ensure staff informed.
Prerequisites:
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Must be able to speak, read and write Standard English.
Must be able to stand during entire shift.
Must have professional appearance and attitude at all times.
Available to work flexible Full-Time hours including weekends, holidays, and special events
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Basic computer skills.
Experience:
Prior Valet experience desired.
