Under the clinical direction of a radiologist and general supervision of the Ultrasound Supervisor, or Diagnostic Imaging Center Manager or designee and Technical Director performs a variety of ultrasound scanning and imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical ultrasound procedures that require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ultrasound for ultrasound diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months practical experience as a Full Time Sonographer with vascular experience and vascular registry is desirable.
• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma and hold RDMS, ARRT (US), or CCI certification or registry eligible with knowledge of cross sectional anatomy and not less than 6 months practical ultrasound experience.
• Must have appropriate registry in practicing ultrasound specialty; or be registry eligible and actively pursuing registry in practicing ultrasound specialty by active continuing education and other training requirements as appropriate to comply with accrediting agencies.
• Must have completed required hours of continuing education per certification or annual period, to satisfy ARDMS, ARRT, and Federal requirements, as well as other accrediting agencies applicable.
• Must be registered in vascular (if not already) within one year of hire.
• CPR Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
