Radiocw-Healthcare is Hiring an Ultrasound Technician Near Fremont, MI

Title: Ultrasonographer Technician

Location: Fremont, MI
Hours: 8AM – 8PM and 2PM- 2AM
Shift length: 12 hours/3 days in a week
Weekend rotation: Every weekend

Description:

Position Summary:

An Ultrasonographer Technician, also known as Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, plays a crucial role in the healthcare field by utilizing specialized equipment to produce images of internal body structures for diagnostic purposes. Working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals, the Ultrasonographer Technician assists in diagnosing medical conditions and monitoring fetal development during pregnancy. This role demands technical expertise, attention to detail, and compassion for patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform Diagnostic Procedures: Conduct ultrasound examinations on patients by operating ultrasound equipment to capture images of various body parts such as abdomen, pelvis, heart, blood vessels, and fetus during pregnancy.
  • Patient Care: Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the ultrasound procedure. Explain the process to patients, answer their questions, and address any concerns to alleviate anxiety.
  • Image Interpretation: Analyze ultrasound images to identify abnormalities, tumors, cysts, or other medical conditions. Provide preliminary findings to physicians for further evaluation and diagnosis.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal functionality and image quality. Troubleshoot technical issues and perform minor repairs as needed.
  • Record Keeping: Document patient information, procedure details, and ultrasound findings accurately in medical records or electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to interpret ultrasound results and develop treatment plans for patients.
  • Quality Assurance: Adhere to established protocols and guidelines for ultrasound imaging to ensure accuracy and consistency in diagnostic procedures. Participate in quality assurance programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated with advancements in ultrasound technology, techniques, and medical practices through ongoing education and training. Pursue certification and licensure renewal as required by regulatory bodies.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Radiologic Technology, or a related field from an accredited program.
  • Licensure: Licensure or registration as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer may be required depending on state regulations.
  • Experience: Previous experience in ultrasound imaging or clinical rotations during education and training is preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment, strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fastpaced healthcare environment.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 per week
