Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dentist to join our dental practice. The Dentist will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients of all ages. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about oral health and patient care.
Pediatric dentists provide comprehensive oral health care that includes the following: Infant oral health exams, which include risk assessment for caries in mother and child. Preventive dental care including cleaning and fluoride treatments, as well as nutrition and diet recommendations.
Duties:
- Perform dental examinations, diagnoses, and treatment planning
- Administer local anesthesia and perform dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, root canals, and crowns
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventive care
- Interpret diagnostic tests such as x-rays and CT scans
- Collaborate with dental hygienists, dental assistants, and other staff to ensure efficient patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
- Stay informed about advancements in dentistry and participate in continuing education programs
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental school
- Valid state dental license
- Proven experience as a Dentist or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures, tools, and equipment
- Proficient in medical terminology and coding
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM technology and Open Dental software is a plus
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
