Summary (Major Purpose of the Role): Responsible for assembling fabricated parts at floor stations
Main Activities/Responsibilities:
- Uses hand and power tools to assemble units following the product specifications.
- Tests parts and mechanisms to meet specifications.
- Identifies units that fail the tests and repairs as necessary.
Competencies:
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
- Computer skills.
- Manual dexterity.
- Ability to lift/move up to 75 lbs. solo; > 75 lbs. with assistance
Reporting Relationships and Supervision:
- Reports to a Supervisor
- Takes direction from leads
- Performs work under direct supervision.
- Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
Education and Experience:
- Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.
- Typically requires a high school diploma, and 0 to 2 years of experience.
