REALIZE YOUR TALENT

The Project Buyer - Supplier Quality will report to the North America Sourcing Manager to support operations across the geography for our three production facilities in Mexico and the United States. The main focus of this role is working within new product development projects, where the incumbent will qualify new components and suppliers while remaining in line with agreed sourcing strategy and maintaining compliance to technical specifications.

KEY ACTIVITIES :

• Contribute to "Make and/or Buy" decisions while mitigating sourcing risks
• Close monitoring of component purchasing costs on his/her projects
• Select suppliers, preferably within the already existing/qualified supplier panel or launch new suppliers prospection
• Define in coordination with the commodity buyer applicable terms & conditions for supplier relationship management
• Represent Sourcing function within a multi skill project team, aiming at new product development
• Manage projects on Sourcing scope aiming at qualifying new suppliers/components
• Transfer supplier relationship in good conditions to commodity buyer

An ideal candidate would be someone who enjoys working with significant autonomy, and is not afraid to take initiative to solve problems, or suggest and proactively recommend options for various business and customer needs.

KNOW THE REQUIREMENTS

• To comply with ITAR, must be a US Citizen or Permanent Legal Resident
• Bachelors degree in a related field or demonstrated experience in lieu of degree
• At least two years of experience working in the materials management modules of SAP
• Three years of experience working in Procurement and Purchasing preferred
• Project Management skills, with a strong process orientation
• Experience in supplier relationship management
• Experience in researching and evaluating prospective and alternate suppliers
