Radia has an exciting opportunity for a teleRadiology Imaging Assistant III to join our dynamic team! This is a great opportunity for those that thrive in a fast-paced environment and are eager to be a key contributor to our compliance program.

This position provides assistance and workflow management to Radia physicians and partner sites in order to achieve maximum productivity and excellent patient care. Ensures that workflows and policies are consistently followed during shifts.

Compensation: 

Hourly range is $23.31 to $32.86 The hourly wage is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and employment status.

The pay range listed above is base pay; this position may be eligible for additional compensation, such as shift differential (applied to all evening and weekend hours).

 Responsibilities: 

  • Exam Processing: Acquire all necessary documentation and information from clients for all assigned radiology exams within the defined time limit. Verify that all components of each exam are complete and accurate as documented on the Q/A checklist. Include in all exams as outlined in Exam Documentation Policy.
  • Exam Distribution: Triage exams based on urgency. Distribute exams within the defined time limit to the appropriate radiologist based on subspecialty, credentialing, shift and weekday and weekend workflow documents.
  • Shift Coverage: Provide IA shift coverage and emergency Lead support as needed in teleRadia. 
  • Report Distribution: Ensure all reports are distributed within the defined time limit.
  • Customer Service: Serve as a liaison, ensuring that all necessary information is communicated to the radiologists and all health care providers accurately and professionally.
  • System monitoring: Troubleshoots system problems, corrects or escalates issues to appropriate personnel (i.e. PACs Admin., IT, Application Support Specialist, Management). Manages system planned downtimes as outlined in the Downtime Procedure Manual.
  • Communication: Monitor Radia e-mail for company and departmental communication and respond appropriately when required to do so. Communicate any downtime situations or ongoing system issues to Management. Communicates events and issues that occurred during the shift to the morning Lead.

Education and Experience

  • AA degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum one year work experience using complex computerized applications.
  • Minimum of 1 year working as an IA II or 6 months as a Lead IA
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
