Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Technician in AHOSKIE to join our team. As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to individuals with mental health challenges. This position requires experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum and strong behavior management skills.
Duties:
- Assist individuals with autism in daily activities and routines
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors
- Provide literacy education and support for individuals with special needs
- Collaborate with other staff members to develop and implement individualized lesson plans
- Support students in a classroom or daycare setting
- Assist with curriculum development and modification to meet individual needs
- Monitor and document progress of students
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for students
- Utilize effective classroom management techniques
Experience:
- Previous experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum is required
- Experience in behavior management techniques is essential
- Familiarity with special education practices and principles is preferred
- Strong ability to develop and implement lesson plans
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
