RaceTrac Company Overview Job Description: The Strategic Analytics Partner (SAP) is a pivotal advisor within the Enterprise Strategic Analytics Data Science team (ESADS), serving as a strategic liaison and collaborative partner to various Business Partners within the organization. This role plays a crucial role in driving organizational growth, operational excellence, and competitive advantage by leveraging advanced analytics, strategic consulting expertise, and cross-functional collaboration. The SAP focuses on aligning analytics initiatives with business objectives, applying consulting methodologies and best practices, and delivering high-quality, value-driven solutions that address critical business challenges and opportunities within the ESADS framework. Responsibilities: Scope of Role: Act as a strategic partner within the Enterprise Strategic Analytics Data Science team (ESADS), collaborating with specific business leaders, stakeholders, and teams to identify, prioritize, and address critical business challenges and opportunities. Lead and execute advanced analytics projects, initiatives, and collaborations within the ESADS framework, leveraging consulting methodologies, techniques, and best practices to drive organizational growth and operational excellence. Foster cross-functional collaboration and alignment to design, develop, and deliver data-driven solutions, insights, and recommendations that align with ESADS objectives and strategic priorities. Identify opportunities for “productization” of analytics that can be scaled, that are repeatable, and that bring recurring business value. Day-to-Day Activities: Conduct comprehensive business assessments, analytics needs analyses, and strategic alignment sessions within the ESADS context to inform decision-making, prioritization, and execution. Proactively align and escalate within the Enterprise Strategic Analytics Data Science team (ESADS) to ensure the right skill sets are being engaged (Data Science, Data Engineering, Strategic Consulting, etc.) to maximize the value delivered to the business Apply advanced analytics techniques, methodologies, and tools to analyze complex data sets, develop predictive models, and generate actionable insights tailored to ESADS initiatives and business requirements. Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations within the ESADS framework to communicate findings, recommendations, and strategic implications to diverse stakeholders, including ESADS team members, Business Partners, and executive leadership. Expected Outcomes: Enhance strategic alignment, prioritization, and execution of analytics initiatives within the ESADS team and across the organization. Improve decision-making processes, operational efficiency, and business performance metrics through ESADS-driven solutions, insights, and recommendations. Demonstrate value creation, measurable impact, and competitive differentiation within the ESADS context through analytics-driven solutions, deliverables, and strategic partnerships. Complexities: Navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and align diverse stakeholder interests and objectives within the ESADS framework and broader organizational context. Integrate consulting expertise with technical proficiency, business acumen, and industry knowledge to drive results and achieve ESADS objectives. Foster collaboration, communication, and alignment across cross-functional teams, departments, and business units, leveraging the ESADS platform to facilitate strategic partnerships and initiatives. Qualifications: Required Experience: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, Business Management/Administration, or a related field, with a focus on advanced analytics, strategic consulting, or a relevant discipline. Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in management consulting, analytics, IT consulting, or a similar role, demonstrating expertise in leveraging advanced analytics techniques, methodologies, and tools within complex organizations. Proven track record of leading consulting engagements, analytics projects, and strategic initiatives that drive business transformation, operational excellence, and measurable results within the ESADS context or equivalent enterprise environments. Demonstrable experience with one or many of the following: Demand Forecasting, Flexible Segmentation (Customer, Performance, Weather, etc.), Network Optimization, Predictive Maintenance/Service, Predictive Customer Churn, Price Optimization, Risk Modeling, Marketing Mix Modeling, Customer Journey Analytics, Predictive Staffing Optimization, Staff Attrition/Retention Risk, Next Best Product/Offer, Customer Elasticity (Market Response Modeling), Assortment Optimization, Customer Loyalty Effectiveness/Optimization Beneficial Experience: Advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, PhD) or certifications in Data Science, Analytics, Business Consulting, or related fields, enhancing expertise in strategic analytics, advanced methodologies, and industry-specific knowledge within the retail or relevant sectors. Consulting experience within the retail industry, including expertise in retail analytics, demand forecasting, segmentation (customers, products, stores, etc.), consumer behavior analysis, supply chain optimization, pricing strategies, promotional activities, or other relevant retail-specific challenges and opportunities. Managerial experience leading teams, projects, or initiatives within a consulting, corporate, or equivalent environment, demonstrating leadership, collaboration, and execution capabilities aligned with ESADS objectives and strategic priorities. Demonstrated proficiency in advanced analytics techniques, large data sets (100M rows) methodologies, tools (e.g., Databricks, Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Power BI), and best practices relevant to the ESADS team's objectives, priorities, and business requirements.
