Race Winning Brands is Hiring a S&OP Manager Near Mentor, OH

Role Summary / Purpose:
The Sales and Operations Planning Manager is an integral part of the company's business strategy. The position is responsible for managing the company's sales and operations planning process, which involves creating and executing plans that optimize the production, inventory, and distribution of goods. The manager will collaborate closely with the executive team, sales, marketing, engineering, and operations departments to ensure that the company's sales and operations plans align with customer demand and executed in a cost-effective manner. This subject matter expert is responsible for: demand planning, and capacity planning while supporting various projects including monthly demand plans, network and production strategy optimization, integration of new businesses, and new product launches. This position will need to effectively use analytical and quantitative methods to understand, predict, and enhance supply chain processes. The successful candidate will possess a strong understanding of operational processes, excellent project management and communication skills.
Essential Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) strategies to ensure alignment between demand, supply, and financial plans.
2. Lead cross-functional teams to develop and maintain integrated business plans.
3. Monitor and analyze current and historical trends and demand patterns by product family.
4. Leading and managing the site sales and operations planning process.
5. Analyze and provide insights on supply and demand constraints, potential risks and opportunities, and inventory optimization.
6. Aligning volume and mix with capacity and capability by product families.
7. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to align financial goals.
8. Prepare and present reports, forecasts, and recommendations to management.
9. Identify areas for process improvement and develop solutions to strengthen S&OP processes.
10. Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
11. Monitor and report on performance metrics and KPIs.
12. Develop and maintain S&OP best practices and policies.
13. Bridge between sales and operations teams.
14. Set up robust processes to improve forecasting accuracy with an objective to minimize cost and maximize customer/seller experience.
15. Scale existing processes by identifying and implementing available tools/automation.
16. Rollout best practices across all sites.
17. Drive decision making across cross functional teams and senior leadership.
18. Calculate and determine headcount needs for plants direct labor as well as Gross Utilization to monitor efficiency.
19. Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
•Bachelor's degree in business, finance, supply chain management or related field. MBA a plus.
•3 years of supply chain management, S&OP, forecasting, and inventory management experience.
•Strong analytical skills, problem solving, project management, and attention to detail.
•Excellent communication and people skills.
•Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP or similar.
•3 years of team management experience.
•3 years of program or project management experience.
•3 years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience.
•3 years of delivering cross functional projects experience.
•Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements.
•Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization.
•Experience in decision making using data mining, data management, reporting, and SQL queries.
