Roller Operator

Summary/Objective

Rabine Paving Mid-Atlantic is a full-service provider of commercial asphalt and concrete parking lots servicing the DC metro and surrounding areas.

Rabine Paving Mid-Atlantic is looking for an experienced and hardworking candidate to join their growing team.

Essential Functions

• Operate roller and other heavy equipment 
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment
• Safe equipment operation and utilization
• Drive machine in successive overlapping passes over surfaces to be compacted

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

• Previous roller operator experience
• Asphalt/Concrete demo and grading
• Labor experience

Education and Experience

• High school Diploma/GED is required
• Preventative maintenance /FOG
• Ground engaging

Other Duties

Equipment transfer and tie-down.

Work Environment

This role will also work outside, in extreme cold and heat.

Physical Demands

This role requires the person to raise objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles. The person may need to lift object up to 70lbs in weight above their head.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to

5:00 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the “core” work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and must work 37.5 hours each week to maintain its status. Extended hours may be required based on the business need.
