The Bay’s Youth Engagement Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the coordination of all after-school youth engagement programs and events that occur both on- and off-site in Omaha. Above all else, specific focus will be placed on the youth experience and striving to provide meaningful relationships and rich engagement to those who need it most.

Responsibilities
Develop and maintain positive relationships with all youth, parents/guardians, staff, community partners, etc.
Schedule, oversee, and assist with the execution of all youth engagement programs and events that occur both on- and off-site in Omaha, including communications with parents/guardians, staff, community partners, etc.
Coordinate with and schedule staff for all youth engagement programs and events, ensuring there’s ample staff scheduled for each
Regularly observe and evaluate programs and staff to ensure an excellent experience for all participating youth
Manage and maintain all programming equipment inventory (skateboards, helmets, iPads, headphones, etc.) and spaces, and transport equipment using organization vehicles as needed
Assist with the ideation and execution of new programs — including workforce development — that align with our mission and provide youth with a unique and engaging experience
Administer evaluation surveys for youth engagement programs and events as directed by management
Serve as an adjunct instructor for youth engagement programs and events as needed
Coordinate with the Marketing Team to ensure upcoming programs and events are effectively captured and communicated to the general public as needed
Coordinate with the Operations Team on data tracking and program evaluation as needed
Coordinate with the Development Team on key metrics for programs and events as needed
Ensure that any incidents are promptly addressed and reported
Must Haves
Two or more years of after-school and/or youth engagement programming experience are required for this position
The ability to occasionally lift, move, and transport 30 lbs. of equipment unilaterally is a requirement for this position
Prior experience with digital music, content creation, skateboarding, and/or gaming is a plus for this position, but not a requirement
Reliable after-school and weekend availability: You’re able to work flexible hours, largely during after-school time (Monday - Friday, 3 - 6 PM), but also occasional mornings, evenings, and weekends
Relationship-building skills: You’re able to authentically connect and relate to people of all ages and backgrounds, and work well with diverse and/or marginalized populations
Strong administrative skills: You’re a self-starter who’s able to stay on track amidst multiple projects and programs, prioritizing tasks, anticipating obstacles, and problem-solving effectively
Strong communication skills: You’re able to communicate professionally, effectively, and consistently with all youth, parents/guardians, staff, community partners, etc.
Leadership skills: You’re confident in taking charge, motivating, and directing others when needed, but are also able to observe and listen when needed
