Job Title: Senior Data Architect
Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Architect with over 15 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data architecture, data modeling, and data management, with a proven track record of leading complex data projects. This role requires a visionary leader who can drive our data strategy forward, ensuring data solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Strategy and Architecture:
- Develop and maintain the enterprise data architecture, ensuring it aligns with the overall business strategy.
- Define and implement data standards, governance, and best practices.
- Design and oversee the implementation of robust, scalable, and secure data architectures.
Data Modeling and Design:
- Lead the creation of conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Ensure data models are optimized for performance, scalability, and flexibility.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into data models.
Data Integration and Management:
- Design and implement data integration solutions to consolidate data from multiple sources.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of data warehouses, data lakes, and other data storage solutions.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and availability across the organization.
Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor a team of data architects and data engineers.
- Collaborate with IT and business leaders to define data strategies and solutions.
- Work closely with application architects, developers, and analysts to ensure data architecture supports business needs.
Technology and Innovation:
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends in data architecture.
- Evaluate and recommend new data technologies and tools to enhance data capabilities.
- Drive innovation in data management practices and solutions.
Compliance and Security:
- Ensure data architecture complies with regulatory requirements and security standards.
- Implement data privacy and protection measures to safeguard sensitive information.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate data-related risks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master s degree preferred.
- 15 years of experience in data architecture, data modeling, and data management.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise data architectures.
- Strong expertise in data warehousing, data lakes, ETL processes, and data integration.
- Proficiency in data modeling tools such as ERwin, ER/Studio, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL), big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark), and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of data governance, data security, and compliance regulations.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with machine learning, AI, and advanced analytics.
- Certification in data architecture (e.g., TOGAF, DAMA) is a plus.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
- Experience in a specific industry (e.g., finance, healthcare, retail) can be advantageous.
