Salesforce Developer Job Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Salesforce Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing customized solutions within the Salesforce platform. This will involve working closely with our stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement them using Salesforce technologies. The Salesforce Developer will also play a key role in maintaining and enhancing our existing Salesforce instance, as well as providing technical support to end-users.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business needs.
- Design and implement customized solutions using Salesforce technologies, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Salesforce APIs.
- Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and other systems using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and other integration tools.
- Customize Salesforce objects, fields, layouts, workflows, and processes to support business requirements.
- Configure and maintain Salesforce security settings, including roles, profiles, permission sets, and sharing rules.
- Perform data migrations and data quality management tasks as needed.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Salesforce-related issues.
- Stay current with Salesforce platform updates and new features, and recommend best practices for implementation.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA testers, and system administrators.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Salesforce Developer certification (e.g., Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I/II) is highly preferred.
- Proven experience developing solutions on the Salesforce platform, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and Salesforce APIs.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce configuration, including objects, fields, workflows, and security settings.
- Experience with Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and ETL tools.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, architecture, and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Additional Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Salesforce Lightning Web Components.
- Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other web development technologies.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
