Company DescriptionFor over 35 years, R&S Landscaping has provides Bergen County residents and businesses with grounds maintenance, design/build, irrigation, snow/ice removal, lighting and plant health care.Our firm is comprised of a seasoned and diverse group of passionate and dedicated professionals.Job DescriptionAre you an experienced landscape construction team leader?Must have experience with excavation, site work, ability to use backhoe, drive manual dump truck, skid steerer, mini excavator & use a demo saw.Are you able to lead a team and run a project from start to finish?Experience required installing pavers, dry laid stone, building retaining walls, grading, planting trees & shrubs, and all details of landscape construction?Must be able to use a transit and set grades.Experience with sprinkler repair, irrigation, lighting, installing sod, seeding, perennials a plus.We are looking a smart and hard working experienced landscape construction team leader that is looking for an opportunity to grow.$22-$25/hr based on experience.QualificationsEXPERIENCE/SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:Min 3 years experience running a landscape construction teamStrong communication and interpersonal skillsValid drivers licenseAbility to drive a trailerAbility to accurately complete daily paperworkAbility to drive a manual transmission truckCustomer service skillsDesire to learn and improvePlant ID KnowledgeAdditional InformationRESPONSIBILITIES:Production/ManagementReview plans/designs with manager prior to start of job plan for labor, equipment & material needed.Review plans with manager and decide most efficient method for implementing a project within estimated bid hours.Supervise daily production of assigned jobsManage daily construction production of assigned crewMaintain accurate daily records of crew travel time, installation time, material and daily job records.Assists with material selection & purchasing for projectsSafely move equipment to and from job sitesEstablish grades with transitPerform snow plowing between Dec-March· Assists other staff as requiredCustomer ServiceManage and exceed customer expectationsCommunicate thought the day with manager and provide updates on job statusCommunicate all client requests to manager prior to performing additional workEnsure customer satisfactionFollow additional work authorization (AWA) procedureCommunicating cross divisional requests to managerEmployee Performance Management & Development:Assist in training crew members on production skillsAssist in providing motivation, leadership, coaching, training, supervision & support for all construction staffHelp staff develop within the company.Assist in monitoring crew members’ performance weekly through informal coachingShop, Vehicle, Materials, Equipment, and Yard MaintenanceClean and organize truck and trailer on a weekly basisFollow equipment repair requests procedureAssist with equipment repair /maintenance during winterMaintain snow plowing trucks & plows during winterAssist with truck maintenance & repairsTraining and SafetyAttend all required Education ClassesAdhere and enforce all safe driving and equipment policies and proceduresWear all required PPP including, but not limited to gloves, eye glasses, and ear protection· Ensure all crewmembers wear and use all safety gear· Adhere to and enforce all other related safety policies and proceduresWear company uniform and work boots at all times.Benefits:401(k)401(k) matchingHealth insurancePaid time offReferral programTuition reimbursementSchedule:8 hour shiftOvertimeSupplemental Pay:Bonus payCommission paywww.rscape.com
