JOB TITLE: Project Director

DEPARTMENT: Client Partnerships

REPORTS TO: Corporate Director of Project Management

LOCATION: Remote

ABOUT THE ROLE

The role of the Project Director is to oversee all project management activities across assigned accounts. The Project Director champions an omni channel publishing strategy and is an expert in all facets and phases of agency project management. This is a fast -paced, dynamic position that requires an understanding of the client’s business objectives and how each project will impact those business objectives. It requires a track record of success in 360 campaign delivery of traditional media (collateral, print, OOH), broadcast TV, photography, radio, experiential/installations, all forms of digital media (social media content, rich media banners, email).

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Manage project/program execution for assigned accounts; ensure that all processes are documented, applied, and followed.

  • Thoroughly understand account contract terms, as well as the agency’s financial and non-financial goals, for all assigned accounts.

  • Become knowledgeable of assigned clients’ business, including category, consumer, geo-political, environmental, and economic trends and impacts.

  • Ensure project briefs and SOWs are developed and assists as needed.

  • Manage scope and proactively troubleshoot scope creep and project profitability metrics in collaboration with account leads.

  • Collaborate with account leads to ensure that publishing plans and roadmaps are prepared, on budget and staffed appropriately.

  • Ensure direct reports continuously monitor project/program status and impact on project profitability and customer retention.

  • Coach team on project management framework, policies, standards, and procedures through a deep understanding of all agency services and departments.

  • Support Project Management training and development.

  • Obtain regular project status reports from direct reports and monitor protocols across projects and accounts to ensure consistency.

  • Stay abreast of project management trends and best practices; partner with supervisor to develop and implement process improvements to support team and account.

  • Manage the professional growth and performance of Project Management reports.

  • Create and promote a collaborative environment where knowledge and skills are shared to facilitate efficient and timely delivery of services to clients.

  • Support quality control policies & practices, ensures that latest quality standards and guidelines are followed and enforced within the team.

  • Oversee and guide team on large-scale or complex projects when necessary.

  • Guide the team in identifying solutions and opportunities related to tactical execution; clears roadblocks by creating and/or suggesting alternate courses of action.

  • Perform other work-related responsibilities deemed by management to be an integral part of the job.
