R.K. Black, Inc. is Hiring a Field Service Technician Near Kansas, KS
The Field Service Technician will provide client support for a specific geographic area in the Kansas City metro and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will represent RK Black with the utmost integrity and professionalism, personify friendliness, and possess exceptional organizational skills. Some travel to other U.S. location may be required for training.
Requirements
- Comp Tia Net Certification, or commit to obtain within six months
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and drawings
- Some college, vocation or military or related electro-mechanical experience
- Knowledge and experience in a network environment
- Possess a valid Kansas or Missouri driver’s license with clean driving record
The Job
- Resolve equipment issues and build client rapport
- Consistently achieve the industry benchmark standards for the equipment supported
- Manage a car stock part inventory to within 2 percent
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and resolve the issue quickly and completely
- Acquire the appropriate training certifications through self-paced, web-based, or remote class methods
- Work independently, using a variety of hand tools and testing equipment
- Complete & maintain appropriate paperwork as required for the task at hand
- Represent R.K. Black, Inc. with the utmost honesty, integrity, and professionalism

- Possess exceptional organizational skills
- Self-starter and results oriented
- Drive in a safe and defensive manner
- Communicate clearly in verbal and written English
Physical Requirements
- Able to stand, bend over, squat or sit for prolonged periods of time
- Able to use hands to work with tools, handle and feel for objects and controls
- Able to carry tool kit and other accessories up and down stairs
- Maintain well groomed, neat, and clean appearance
